Boundless Excavation & Contracting started with a nine-year-old kid behind the controls of a Cat 977L. Josiah Sims’s father had rented the machine to clear the property for their new home, and he let Josiah drive it. A few days later, Josiah was doing all of the finish grading on the property himself — and he was hooked.
That early start turned into years of hands-on experience across almost every part of construction. Josiah has managed a landscaping crew, built transit buses as a welder and fabricator, framed home additions, remodeled houses, and worked excavation projects of all sizes. By the time he started Boundless Excavation & Contracting, he’d already spent a career learning what it takes to get a job done right.
Josiah built Boundless Excavation & Contracting to serve clients through consistent, excellent work. He left his previous job to spend more time with his family, and that’s still part of why the business runs the way it does: show up, do the work right, and deliver a finished product the client is proud of.
Josiah has also seen firsthand what it’s like to be the customer juggling a handful of different contractors on one project. That’s part of why Boundless takes on the full scope of site work — from clearing the land to final grade — instead of handing a job off in pieces.
